Pregnancy

During pregnancy, probably more than at any other time, correct nutrition is of the utmost importance.

Even the slightest deficiences at this time can make the pregnancy unpleasant for the mother and have serious effects on the health of the child.

Every woman's needs at this time are slightly different. Many women suffer from deficiences in certain vitamins and minerals especially if they lead stressful lives or have been on the pill for some time. Nutritional Therapy can help to detect any underlying deficiences and devise a diet which is optimum for the individual, together with advice on the correct supplements to use.

Food allergies are also a problem, as they can be passed on to the baby. It is important to identify any allergens as soon as possible as these should be avoided during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Candida Albicans can cause problems both to mother and baby. As the baby can be infected during the birth process the mother should endeavour to be free of Candida before the birth. This condition can be successfully treated with the correct diet and supplements.

A diet and supplements best suited to the individual should ensure a trouble-free pregnancy and a healthy baby.
